The Shift Shirt Collection

As the first iteration of SALVEDGE apparel The Shift Shirt collection consists of eight unique, reworked cropped shirts. The collection was born through an exploration of workwear, specifically tailoring, as apparel used to encourage uniformity and strip the wearer of their individuality. Through using the method of upcycling to reimagine clothing designed for the workplace, a design approach that injects the individual back into each garment, an interesting juxtaposition between uniform and self expression is created.

The Salvedge Shift Shirt is the embodiment of individuality. Reworked from existing shirts, the design and shape of each piece is entirely dictated by the way it was originally created. Fastened by buttons sourced from second-hand shops and vintage archives and branded with a hand printed SALVEDGE label each Shift Shirt is entirely unique and tells the story of the history of its components.
