After learning about the impacts of fast fashion at university Madeleine came across the art of Sashiko embroidery through Japanese aesthetic approach; Wabi Sabi. The art of Sashiko stitching opened her mind to the possibilities of visible mending and how these techniques can help to enhance and individualise our wardrobes and change our perception of clothing consumption.
